La Autoridad Portuaria de Bilbao ha procedido al pago anual del incentivo diseñado junto con la empresa pública vasca Interbiak para promover la utilización del sistema de preavisos en los accesos y salidas del transporte de mercancías en el enclave vizcaíno a través de la Variante Sur Metropolitana de la AP-8.
Desde su puesta en marcha en junio de 2018, el número de transportistas que se han adscrito a este mecanismo ha ido en aumento, hasta los 534 registrados en 2020.
A la vista de los datos, la Autoridad Portuaria estima que el grado de aceptación de esta iniciativa es, por tanto, positivo, ya que desde su puesta en funcionamiento se han registrado 40.609 entradas y salidas del recinto bilbaíno que cumplen con los requisitos del programa.
De igual modo, los responsables de la dársena vasca esperan que el número de trayectos incentivados aumente a medida que se automaticen los accesos a las terminales del puerto y se extienda la obligatoriedad del preaviso de entrada, lo que permitiríá conectar los flujos de información entre Transportistas, Autoridad Portuaria y Terminalistas, minorando tiempos de espera.
Así pues, los sistemas informáticos desarrollados por la Autoridad Portuaria de Bilbao e Interbiak, sociedad pública foral adscrita al Departamento de Desarrollo Económico y Territorial de la Diputación de Vizcaya, están preparados para asumir un aumento de beneficiarios en los próximos dos años.
